The
Eldex Column Heater improves the reproducibility of retention times in chromatography by
providing a stable, temperature controlled environment, controlling temperatures from 5°C
above ambient to 150°C.

The Eldex column
heater will accommodate up to four standard 30cm columns up to 3/8 inch
O.D., plus guard
columns. A variety of column sizes can be used in the same heater, as the aluminum
inserts are interchangeable. Column of up to one inch O.D. can be used without
inserts.

Convenient
to Use

Tubing can enter
and exit at any point along the heater module, minimizing tubing length and extra-column
dead volume. The heating block can be either vertically or horizontally oriented,
depending on bench space and system configuration limitations.

The control unit
allows temperature settings in one degree Celsius increments, with stability of ±0.1°
Celsius or better. An independent fail-safe circuit protects your columns in the
unlikely event of electronic component failure by switching off the power to the
heater. Provision is also made to channel fluid spills away from the
electronics. Insulation minimizes outside case temperature and contributes to
increased thermal stability.
