 Piston
Wash |
| Designed to be added to
any 1/8" piston ReciPro pump, the optional piston wash system
can significantly enhance piston seal life.
The use of buffers or
solutions which crystallize when exposed to air can lead to abrasion
of the piston seal. The wash system allows you to flush a
washing solution behind the piston, thereby preventing
crystallization. Specify P/N 5575. |

 Quick
Connect |
The Quick Connect Kit simplifies removal and
installation of the liquid end assembly and can be used on any 1/8"
piston pump. Specify P/N 5728.

  Flow
Rate Control Options
HP Series: The HP Series uses a
precision micrometer to adjust the stroke length of the piston, which in
turn determines the flow rate.
VS Series: The VS Series uses
either a local potentiometer or remote control signal to vary motor
speed. Any VS can be fitted with an optional precision micrometer,
which will allow for expanded low flow rate control. The precision
micrometer is a special option, specify P/N 1902.

| type 316 stainless steel: is
broadly compatible with a wide range of fluids.
PEEK (Polyetheretherketone): has
excellent chemical compatibility. Avoid use with methylene chloride,
THF, nitric, sulfuric, or halogenated acids. PEEK is suitable for
use at high pressures.
CTFE (chlorotrifluorolethylene):
has excellent chemical resistance. Avoid use with THF and
halogenated solvents. CTFE is suitable for use at lower pressures
than PEEK.

uhmw polyethylene: is broadly
compatible with a wide range of fluids, has excellent mechanical
properties. The uhmw polyethylene seal is the standard seal.
Graphite Fiber reinforced PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene):
has excellent chemical resistance. Its somewhat inferior mechanical
properties make its use preferred only in cases where chemical
compatibility is the major concern. The GF PTFE seal is a special
option, specify P/N 5168 for pumps with 1/8" pistons. For pumps
with 1/4" pistons a Teflon based material is available, specify P/N 5100.

 Plumbing
Options
Inlet Valves: Most stainless
steel based pumps come with inlet valves which use a 1/4-28 tube nut,
which is used with 1/8" Teflon tubing (BB and BBB pumps use an inlet
valve with a 1/8" Swagelok connection). Alternatives include:
10-32: inlet
valves can be configured to use a 10-32 tube nut and ferrule for use
with 1/16" tubing. The 10-32 valve is a special option,
specify P/N 1371.
1/8" Swagelok:
inlet valves can be configured to use a 1/8" Swagelok
fitting. The 1/8" Swagelok valve is a special option,
specify P/N 1373.
Outlet Valves: Most stainless
steel based pumps come with outlet valves which use a 10-32 tube nut and
ferrule, which is used with 1/16" stainless tubing (BB and BBB pumps
use an inlet valve with a 1/8" Swagelok connection).
Alternatives include:
1/8" Swagelok:
outlet valves can be configured to use a 1/8" Swagelok
fitting. The 1/8" Swagelok valve is a special option,
specify P/N 1374.
1/4"-28:
outlet valves can be configured to use a 1/4"-28 tube nut for
use with 1/8" tubing. The 1/4"-28 valve is a special
option, specify P/N 1370.
