The basic design of our pulsation damper consists of a compressible fluid (red-dyed methanol) filled reservoir with an FFKM (Kalrez) elastomeric diaphragm. When the pulsating flow enters the damper, the diaphragm and fluid compress and expand, absorbing the excess pressure during high-pressure peaks and releasing it during low-pressure troughs. This action helps to dampen the pressure fluctuations and maintain a more constant flow downstream.
