The Eldex Hot Head is ideal for use with Optos Series pumps when maintaining fluid temperatures up to 250°F (121°C) is necessary during pumping, which can be beneficial for waxy materials or processes requiring reduced fluid viscosity. It’s ideal for applications where heat retention is crucial, as the fluid moves through the pump, ensuring consistent performance without the need for cooling. The Hot Head delivers precise heating via our standalone control unit or direct PLC connection, while still allowing easy access to the pumphead for check valve or piston seal maintenance. Use it as a reliable alternative to heat tape for heated flow paths, but note that due to low fluid dwell time, an additional heating source is needed to raise the fluid temperature before it enters the pump.
